The controversy started when YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made derogatory comments about parents and sex on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent in February.

The podcaster eventually apologized in public, admitting that his remarks lacked humor and seemed derogatory. “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry,” Allahbadia said in his apology.

He pledged to utilize his position more sensibly going forward in response to worries about his impact on younger viewers. “Family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect,” he added.
