Are Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya planning to have a registered marriage?

The actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya recently confirmed dating rumors by announcing their engagement on August 8, 2024. Earlier, Sobitha Dhulipala stated in a 2019 Filmfare interview that her conception of freedom informs how she understands love.

The actress mentioned, “I understand what freedom means, so from there comes my understanding of love. I’ve become such a self-sufficient person, be it physically, financially, or emotionally.”

Speaking more about her ideal partner, the Goodachari actress stated that she believes an eternal relationship should be characterized by inspiration, creativity, kindness, and curiosity about life. She also revealed more details about her intended wedding, saying, “One moment I’m attracted to the shenanigans of marriage, the great food, sindoor, gifts, and celebration. It’s like a childish dream. But in reality, I’ve seen so many fall apart.”

The actress continued by saying she wasn’t sure if she would give in to her partner’s demands on such matters, but she did promise her marriage wouldn’t be ostentatious.Sobhita disclosed that her preference is to visit a registrar, wear a simple cotton saree, and then be done with the whole process.

It was speculated that Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala were dating since 2022, following the former’s divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Since Sobhitha was in Hyderabad, the two of them have been spotted together in a number of places, which inspired her movie Major.

The pair went public with their relationship following official confirmation from Naga Chaitanya’s father and actor Nagjuna Akkineni.

They have not yet disclosed the specific date of their wedding, but it is expected to take place in 2024.
