On June 6, early morning, Indian rapper Badshah mentioned in a note on X: “Dua lipa ❤️.” Some assumed that it was a mere appreciation for the Albanian singer and songwriter while others thought it be a promo for a plausible collaboration.
Angry fans reacted
A fan asked, “Are you making a track with her bhai ? 🤩🤯.” To which Badshah responded, “Id rather make babies with her bro.” This made a flurry for troll comments at large.
Badshah’s comment irked a user who wrote, “EWWWWW what a creep. Women really cant catch a break online or IRL,” another added, “WHAT’S WITH THIS “HAVE BABIES” JOKE? How can you say that and not be so disgusted with yourself you want to bathe!” A troll stated, “Cringe why acting like a nibba no class agh🤮🤮🤮.” Amidst this, the rapper finally wrote: “I think one of the most beautiful compliments that you could give to a woman that you really admire is to wish for her to mother your children. Meri soch nahi tumhari soch saamne aayi hai.”
The artist thought that this might have been the best reply to the trolls, however fans deemed it a ‘cover up’. A fan wrote, “Kaisa wahiyat cover-up tha bhai,” whereas another mentioned, “ur comment about dua lipa was not just offensive it was downright cheap pls spare us the act of playing saint now.” A comment read, “Wtf… that is sexual harrasment in the most explicit terms, Badshah,” while another added, “That was a clever way to defend and hide your crude remarks about wanting to get another woman pregnant. Grow up, weirdo!” Another user commented, “Bhai cover up thik se karliya karo 😭.”
