Barry Keoghan, an Oscar contender and well-known actor from Saltburn and The Banshees of Inisherin, has joined the cast of Netflix’s eagerly awaited Peaky Blinders film. According to Deadline, the actor will appear on screen alongside newcomer Rebecca Ferguson and series regular Cillian Murphy.

Steven Knight, the show’s creator, will produce the film alongside Guy Heeley, Caryn Mandabach, and Murphy. Harper, David Mason, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Kosse are the executive producers, in collaboration with BBC Film.
Although not much has been divulged by the film’s crew, Steven previously told the outlet that the story will take place during World War II. Later athis year, production will get underway.

On September 9, Barry’s upcoming movie, Bring Them Down, will make its TIFF debut. In addition, he has Jenna Ortega and Trey Edward Shults with Weekend. He will also feature alongside Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo in the film adaption of Crime 101.
