Bhuvan Bam-starrer Taaza Khabar 2 has an interesting link with Jaaved Jaaferi’s Takeshi’s Castle

Taaza Khabar 2, the show starring Bhuvan Bam, is almost ready to premiere. Jaaved Jaaferi is set to play an adversary in the series. Bam, meanwhile, recently disclosed that he called Jaaferi to tell him about his Takeshi’s Castle adaptation that had debuted on Amazon Prime, and during that conversation, he pitched the web series to him.

Bhuvan Bam mentioned calling Jaaved Jaaferi after the teaser for Takeshi’s Castle was revealed in a recent interview with India Today. Although he acknowledged that taking on this role was a significant step for him, he seized the opportunity because it represented a “great opportunity” for him.

He added, “‘Sir, main Bhuvan baat kar raha hoon (My name is Bhuvan). Takeshi’s trailer has come today’. He said, ‘I watched it. It’s good, it’s very good. Let’s meet some time. I have seen your work’,” shared Bhuvan.  “That is when we pitched it to him because casting an antagonist is a very difficult task,” stated Bam.

According to him, people are aware of the same faces’ behaviors, but nobody has ever perceived Jaaved negatively. He related his personal experience, saying that he was unable to identify the Jaaved who used to make people laugh when he would stand in front of him on the sets and give his dialogues.

“He has done such a fabulous job, and it has been an honour for me and the entire team to have him, Mahesh Manjrekar and Deven Bhojani on board,” he stated.

In addition, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prathamesh Parab, Deven Bhojani, and Shilpa Shukla play important parts in the second season of Taaza Khabar.
