BLACKPINK’s Jisoo will finally make her solo comeback with the album AMORTAGE after over two years of anticipation. However, when fans learned that the album only has four tracks and barely lasts 12 minutes and 14 seconds, they were disappointed.
Given that Rose, Lisa, and Jennie, three other members of BLACKPINK, made first studio albums with 12 to 15 tracks, many fans anticipated a longer tracklist. The four-track album felt a little short to fans who had hoped for at least six new songs given the length of time since Jisoo’s debut solo release.
Jisoo has been balancing several tasks with her music career, unlike her fellow BLACKPINK members. She has been actively involved in three significant acting endeavors in the last year: two dramas and a movie. While her eagerly anticipated big-screen debut in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint will be out in theaters in the summer of 2025, her next zombie-comedy picture, Newtopia, is scheduled to launch on Coupang Play on February 7. Later this year, her drama Boyfriend on Demand is also anticipated to be released.
On February 14, Jisoo’s AMORTAGE, in collaboration with Warner Records, will be released on a number of streaming services. The news that BLACKPINK will return as a group in May 2025 after the members finish their solo campaigns has fans left with anticipation.
Another surprising development is that Jisoo has released her own mobile app, JISOO, which can be found on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
