BLACKPINK’S Lisa delivers another smashing hit; New Women ft. Rosalía tops iTunes chart in 35 countries

Lisa of BLACKPINK and Rosalía, with their newest single, “New Woman,” have become the talk of the town.  The new collaboration single reached the top of iTunes in more than 30 different regions on August 17, 2024. Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, Vietnam, and other nations are among those that are ranked first. The song not only charted in multiple countries but also placed second on the global iTunes song chart and third on the European iTunes song chart.

Fans have been captivated by New Woman’s captivating sound and unique music video. The song has received 27 million views on YouTube in just the first day of its release. In addition, Lisa is receiving praise from online users for venturing outside of her comfort zone and trying out novel musical genres.

Alongside Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo, Lisa made her K-pop debut as an idol from the girl group BLACKPINK. In 2021, the musician made her solo debut with the single album Lalisa, which featured the B-side song Money and the album’s title track. Her album was a huge commercial hit, and she won several awards for it, including the 2022 MTV Video Music Award for Best K-Pop.

She split from YG Entertainment in 2023 to pursue personal endeavors. She will nevertheless carry on with group activities under the agency and remains a member of the K-pop group.

In 2024, the singer established Lloud, her own agency, and the first single to be released on the label is ROCKSTAR. She will also make her screen debut with The White Lotus.
