Shashank Khaitan’s film ‘Dhadak’, the debut movie of Sri Devi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor, has come out as a breath of fresh air for the audience. The movie is about how a couple from different economic backgrounds fall in love and make all possible efforts to fight the stereotypes with all their might. Upcoming bollywood stars, Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor take you through their passionate love adventure with most extreme trustworthiness and commitment, hence showing a brighter and talented side of the raw talent.
Not just this, but the movie which is a remake of Sairat, has now bagged upto Rs. 13.75 Crore in just 3 days.
‘Dhadak’ which marks the debut of Janhvi in the breathtaking universe of Bollywood has won the hearts of the crowd with her stellar execution and Ishaan too has cut a specialty for himself with splendid acting. The film which opened at Rs 8.50 crore on the primary day, saw a colossal ascent in the coming days as it rounded up Rs 10.75 crore and Rs 13.75 crore individually on its first end of the week which has helped the film achieve a stunning general aggregate of Rs 33 crores in only a traverse of three days, as per BoxofficeIndia.com reports.
‘Dhadak’ even deposed Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt’s 2012 school dramatization ‘Student Of The Year’ to wind up the highest earning opening day accumulations by a film featuring newcomers.
Discussing ‘Dhadak’ being a revamp of Marathi film ‘Sairat’, Ishaan stated, “No, there is a reason why we are calling it an adaptation and not a remake and the reason is that it’s not the scene to scene copy. The idea to make this film was always this that this is a story that will resonate with the audiences all over our country and it does not state specific so the idea was always to take this story and apply it to characters that may or may not be the same. Our characters are very different from that of Parshya and Archie.”
Apart from this, many well known critics of Bollywood have very well praised the budding talents like that of the cast, and the film is expected to do even better in the following weeks.
