On March 7, J-Hope will release his much awaited new track, “Sweet Dreams,” which features Grammy Award winner Miguel. There has been a lot of excitement post the announcement. According to a statement from BigHit Music, J-Hope’s upbeat sound is encapsulated in Sweet Dreams, a tune that conveys “the desire to love and be loved.”

J-Hope’s previously collaborated with Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers, his BTS bandmate Jungkook, Le Sserafim’s Huh Yunjin, Gaeko, Yoon Mi-rae, J. Cole, and others, with this collaboration, he added another feather to his cap of versatility. Since the release of his Hope on the Street, Vol. 1 EP last year, which went along with his six-part documentary series during his mandatory military duty, this will be his next song as a lead artist.

“It is interesting to imagine how their styles will merge. J-Hope has shown his ability to explore different sounds before, such as on Chicken Noodle Soup or Hope World, so Sweet Dreams could be a dreamy, melodic track with a touch of his trademark optimism,” a fan commented. Another added, “J-Hope and Miguel teaming up? This is going to be magical.” Another fan simply stated, “J-Hope and Miguel on the same track? This is gonna be a vibe!”

But other fans have also pointed out an intriguing coincidence: J-Hope’s new single is released on the same day as Jennie from BLACKPINK will release her solo album Ruby. “ALWAYS on BLACKPINK’s release dates. The obsession this company has with BLACKPINK is insane,” a fan wrote, another comment added, “So obsessed with Jennie.” A third stated, “The obsession with Jennie is crazy,” with another instigating that the date was “not a coincidence
