BTS’ RM gets sighted with President Yoon Suk Yeol during his Chuseok tour to 15th Infantry Unit
Through the songs of BTS, RM has made a huge contribution to the global promotion of Korean culture.
During a Chuseok visit to the 15th Infantry Division, BTS’s leader RM who is now performing his mandatory military duty—made headlines when he was spotted with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. This year, President Yoon visited the division to elevate the spirits of the soldiers serving on the front lines during Chuseok, a traditional fall harvest celebration in Korea. Chuseok is a time of family and national unity.
President Yoon pledged during his visit to stand by the military commanders and make sure they are proud of their national duty. During the visit, which was held at a 15th Infantry Division border unit, there was a sizable group shot featuring about 500 military members.
As a soldier now, he upholds the virtues of commitment, responsibility, and pride, deepening the military’s relationship with South Korean civilians.
His most recent song, Neva Play, which was published on September 6, features Megan Thee Stallion, showcasing her lyrical prowess and international influence.
Apart from his musical pursuits, RM is expected to create a significant impact on the big screen when his documentary, RM: Right People, Wrong Place, premieres at the 29th Busan International Film Festival in October. The documentary provides an insight into his life prior to joining and documents his journey while recording his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong People.
