TS members have been ruling the Korean pop zone despite their military engagements. On May 23, fans were blessed with an amazing new related to a new milestone achieved by BTS’ SUGA. The artist’s alter ego/stage name Agust D’s second mixtape album, D-2, has fetched the highest number-one rankings by a K-pop soloist on Apple Music. The album has managed top ranks in over 48 countries on the music app. Moreover, his debut studio album D-DAY, a part of the mixtape trilogy, has again bagged 43 #1s on Apple Music, just after D-2.
Fans are flooding the social media with comments like “King things only” to “This man carried the genre.”
Some are touting it to be a 10-track masterpiece, while others are appreciating the fact that the album went to minimal promotions yet gained the top mark.
SUGA’s solo activities
SUGA released his first mixtape, Agust D, in 2016 which gained immense traction. He thereafter released D-2 in 2020 with a powerful track Daechwita. In 2023, he wrapped his trilogy with D-DAY, with the track Haegum.
As of now he is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service. Pertaining to an old shoulder injury, he has been chosen for an alternate capacity and will be released on June 21, 2025.
Meanwhile, fans are anticipating the group reunion on June, after the complete fulfillment of their military duties.
