It has been confirmed that Jin, aka Kim Seok Jin of BTS, will be the first torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics in the famous Louvre section. On July 14, at 8:30 p.m., Jin is said to start his leg of the torch relay at the Louvre Pyramid.

On July 12, it was announced that Jin, the oldest member of BTS, had served his mandatory military duty and would be the first torch bearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics’ Louvre section. On Sunday, July 14, at approximately 8:30 p.m. local time, Jin will begin his leg of the torch relay at the famous Louvre Pyramid, which is being organized by the Paris 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee.

Jin’s official solo debut was with The Astronaut, a song he co-wrote with Coldplay, in October 2022.
