Ace fashion designer Anna Wintour delivered streamlined guidelines for the Met Gala 2025, one of the most prominent one being no use of phones. On Monday some attendees who walked the carpet broke her no-phones, no-photography and no-social media policy. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion and The Little Mermaid fame Halle Bailey took series of selfies and posted them online while still being at the premises of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

As quoted by Vogue, “guests must abide by a no-phone (and, therefore, no social media) policy once they’ve entered the museum”. The outlet did not distinctly mention the possible repercussions if the rules are broken.

Notwithstanding the rules, Megan posted a clip with rapper Doechii and WNBA champion Angel Reese. “Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA,” she wrote in an Instagram post. The stars discussed the taste of the starters presented at the event in the video. Meanwhile, Tracee Ellis Ross, Doja Cat and Sha’Carri Richardson were also spotted in the clip.

In a separate clip that went viral on X, the 30-year-old rapper reinstated, “We’re not supposed to have our phone.” “I snuck the phone inside,” she added. Other celebs, including Cynthia Erivo, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Serena Williams, Michael Kors, Ciara, and Tessa Thompson, debuted in the clip.

On the other hand, Tyla posted a selfie with Shakira on her Instagram Story.
