Coromandel Opens 1000th Gromor Store in Maharashtra, Extends Agri-Retail Network

Coromandel International Limited, one of India’s leading agri-solutions providers, has inaugurated its 1000th Gromor retail store in Kashti, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. Branded as ‘Apla Gromor’, the mega outlet will serve more than 15,000 farmers across 25 villages, offering a full range of agri-inputs, advisory services, and digital farming tools.

The milestone event was attended by Mr. Arun Alagappan, Executive Chairman, and Mr. S. Sankarasubramanian, Managing Director & CEO of Coromandel International Limited, along with senior leadership.

Since launching its first store in 2007 under the My Gromor brand, Coromandel has built one of India’s largest rural agri-retail networks. With 1000 company-owned, company-operated outlets across five states, the chain now reaches over three million farmers, supported by a 5,000-member field team.

Speaking on the milestone, Mr. Arun Alagappan, Executive Chairman, Coromandel International, said,

What started in 2007 as a small step into agri-retail has today become one of the country’s largest agri-retail networks. Looking ahead, we have drawn up ambitious plans to double our retail footprint over the years, further deepening our farmer connect and creating sustainable value for rural communities.”

The newly launched Apla Gromor store in the Kashti–Shrigonda belt will also act as a hub for digital farming, showcasing solutions such as the MyGromor app, remote advisory, and image-based pest and disease detection. Coromandel has also announced plans to open 20 more Gromor outlets in Pune district, including five near Kashti, further strengthening its presence in Maharashtra.
