It has been 10 years, since the release of the blockbuster movie “Jab We Met”. The movie came up with a story that touched everyone’s heart with its sentiments.
Released in 2007, the movie Jab We met was a perfect amalgamation of romance, parents’ opposition with regards to the love affair etc. The movie brought smile on the faces throughout. Some of the critics were so impressed by the movie that they started comparing this one with the all time super hits like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le jayenge, Sholay etc.
The movie showed the lives of two people who in spite of being completely opposite to each other by nature fall in love. The movie contains many twist and turns. The character of Geet was played by Kareena Kapoor while Shahid was opposite to her. The Dialogue portion of the movie was specially outshined among the other ones. The dialogue spoken by Aditya(Shahid Kapoor)” “Apni toh haalat bahut kharab hai boss; saddi toh band baj chuki hai. Isse bura toh aur kuch ho hi nahin sakta. Ab sirf accha ho sakta hai aur hoga. Insaan Jo kuch really chahta hai na…actually…usse hamesha wohi milta hai” comes at an unexpected moment. This brought faces on the faces of people .The solution of the problem like that of Shahid’s ex-girlfriend was solved by Kareena by burning the photo was absolutely entertaining. There are so many examples that can be drawn out by knowing the fact that the story line of the movie was so impressive that other directors also tried to put that flavor into their respective movies .Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,Piku, Vicky Donor, Jab Harry Met Sejal were all Jab We Met-style narrative – real, funky characters and real setting.
