A freshly released promo by the makers of Bigg Boss 19, showcasing the finalists, seems to omit one of the six remaining contestants: Malti Chahar. Although there is no official confirmation from the show’s makers, the deletion of the promo stirred speculation among fans about a possible mid-week eviction. Given her controversial stint as a wildcard entrant, it may not be far-fetched.
Here are five reasons why many believe Malti may be the one left out of the finale race.
1. Entered late as a wildcard — weaker connection with audience
Malti Chahar joined Bigg Boss 19 mid-season as a wildcard entrant, unlike many others who were part of the show from day one.
This meant she had fewer days in the house to build emotional arcs or allow viewers to connect with her journey. In competition-based reality formats, longevity and relatability often matter more than just highlighting drama — a shorter stay might have hampered her chances.
2. Frequent conflict and “red flag” tag by housemates
Soon after entering, Malti drew sharp criticism from fellow contestants. In one Weekend Ka Vaar promo, she was labelled a “red flag” by multiple housemates and even by the host, for her behaviour and remarks.
Such negative perception inside the house can influence how viewers vote: contestants with consistent internal friction often struggle to garner strong public support near the finale.
3. Controversial remarks and perceived disrespect to co-contestants
At one point, during a confrontation, Malti reportedly told a fellow contestant to “wear clothes before talking to me,” after critiquing her attire.
Remarks perceived as derogatory or judgmental tend to hurt public image — especially among viewers sensitive to respect and values — possibly alienating a section of the vote bank.
4. Inconsistent alliances and weak social bonds in the house
Bigg Boss success often depends on building alliances and maintaining relationships within the house. Reports suggest Malti struggled to form lasting bonds: many housemates distanced themselves from her, particularly after conflicts.
This isolation likely weakened her support inside the house, which can negatively reflect in public opinion as well.
5. Preference for contestants with longer journey and deeper emotional arcs
Many fans and viewers tend to root for contestants whose journey — struggles, growth, relationships — they have followed over weeks. Compared to those contestants, Malti’s late entry meant she missed several early story arcs, emotional moments and bonding phases that create attachment. As a result, she may have appeared more as an outsider than a long-term contender, reducing her chances of making it to the final five.
