More trouble for Bigg Boss 13, I&B Ministry steps in
India’s most popular reality show Bigg Boss is known for the controversies it creates inside the house, among the participants. But, the recent one i.e the 13th season seems to be landed in a big trouble just after a week.
The Karni Sena and BJP MLA from Ghaziabad, Nand Kishore Gujjar has demanded a ban on the show. Gujjar wrote a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javdekar demanding that the show be taken off the air. However, the complaint is now being looked forward by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
In his letter, the BJP MLA allegedly stated that the “show was promoting obscenity and vulgarity and was unfit for family viewing”.
“The show is against the cultural ethos of the country and highly objectionable intimate scenes were a part of it. Couples of different communities were being made to become bed partners, which was unacceptable.”
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the one hand, is trying to make India regain its lost glory and, on the other, such shows were demeaning the country’s culture,” he further wrote.
Also, Amit Jani, president of the Uttar Pradesh Nav Nirman Sena, announced that he would not eat any food grain until the Bigg Boss 13 show was stopped.
Meanwhile, like all the previous seasons, the audience is expecting more out of this recent one. Hosted by Salman Khan, the interesting USP of this season is that the contestants will reach finale in 4 weeks.
