On Sunday, Vanessa Hudgens announced that she and her spouse, Major League Baseball outfielder Cole Tucker, are expecting their first child together.

The “High School Musical” singer walked out on the Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles wearing an all-black attire and posed for photographs while adoringly touching her belly, thus announcing her pregnancy.

Hudgens and Tucker announced their engagement early last year and it has been reported that they got married in Tulum, Mexico, in December. They were first linked in 2020 after Hudgens shared a picture of herself with the caption “date night” and was then seen holding hands with Tucker.

The singer and actress stated that she first got in touch with Tucker after she accepted an invitation from a friend to attend a Zoom meditation group.

Hudgens stated  while appearing on a May 2021 episode of the Drew Barrymore Show, “We started talking and it’s wild that we found each other over Zoom.” With laughter, she said she “fully just slid into his DMs.”

In an April 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hudgens said of Tucker, “He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”
