Cha Eun Woo braces to join the mandatory military services soon; deets here
The 28-year-old singer and actor was born on March 1997 and rose to stardom by joining the K-pop boy band ASTRO in 2016.

Actor and ASTRO boy group’s member Cha Eun Woo is officially bracing for the mandatory service in the South Korean military. On May 9, 2025, he appeared in an interview with the Republic of Korea Army’s military band unit.
Fantagio, the artist’s managing agency, verified his presence at the Military Band interview, further mentioning his involvement at the evaluation.
The interview was held at the Ministry of National Defence’s military band unit, situated at the Seoul National Cemetery. However, the agency iterated that no confirmation regarding the final decision has been hinted. It will be disclosed on May 29 featured on the Military Manpower Administration’s official site.
Applications for the Army military unit begun in late March to early April, followed by the interviews for selected candidates.
Cha Eun Woo is now working on the Netflix’s upcoming drama The Wonder Fools, wherein he will be seen in the grab of Lee Woon Jung. As Yeon Min, he will also feature in a new film titled First Ride.
Loved for his charming aura, visuals and acting abilities, he became a global name with popular dramas like My ID is Gangnam Beauty, True Beauty, and Island.
If Cha Eun Woo manages to get enlisted in July 2025 his mandatory service will be streamlined for 18 months with expected release date of January 2027.
