Chhal Kapat- The Deception: All about Shriya Pilgaonkar-starrer crime thriller

Shriya Pilgaonkar is back as the OTT queen with new series called Chhal Kapat: The Deception, whose teaser has been launched recently. The series begins with an intimate wedding function in Burhanpur, where festivities turn into a  mysterious turn of event when bride’s friend is found dead.

Storyline of Chhal Kapat 

Shriya Pilgaonkar heads an investigation filled with thrill, anticipation and dangers. The show reminisces of Gyaarah Gyaarah, a phenomenal work by the same creators. It was a Hindi adaptation of the Korean hit project Signal.

Chhal Kapat: The Deception revolves around nine suspects who are subtly intertwined through a hidden history.

In conversation with Mid-Day, Shriya Pilgaonkar mentioned that choosing the role of police officer initially served as an easy ride. Further adding that Devika Rathore, is not the quintessential cop rather someone with a troubled past, which ultimately helps her to stay sharp as an investigator.

The actor highlighted that her characters in Guilty Minds and The Broken News, have seemingly paved the way to accept the challenging role of a cop for the upcoming show.

She elucidated that Devika is clever, unapologetically upright, and morally layered who knows to call a spade a spade.
