Chris Brown has been held in Manchester, England on Thursday morning for allegedly assaulting music producer Abe Diaw, according to media reports.

As quoted by Page Six, the artist had hit the music producer with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub, in 2023. As reported by the Metropolitan Police in conversation with The Sun, the custody was taken at a five-star Lowry Hotel after grievous harm was suspected.

“He has been taken into custody, where he remains,” the police officer added.

About the Diaw assault case

He added that the case was marked in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023. The investigation has been channelised by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.

In October 2023, Diaw had approached to the court in a lawsuit against Chris Brown, over the assault case, eight months ago. He mentioned that Brown had “inflicted severe and lasting injuries” after receiving a blow on the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 in February, 2023 at the Tape London nightclub.

The award winning artist had “ruthlessly stomp on” the victim, by hurting his back and the neck, making him loose consciousness for 30 seconds. There was reported “lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg.”
