Melt Down, DAY6’s most recent album, marked their first-ever victory on a music show. The band’s 9th mini album, Band Aid, and the music video for the title hit were both released on September 2.

The song from MBC’s Show! Music Core, won first place on September 14.  They smashed NU’EST’s record to become the idol group that won a music show the longest after making their debut. It took DAY6 nine years to win, but NU’EST had their first victory after seven.

The group will be the first K-pop group to perform a solo show at the Gocheok Sky Dome when they host their year-end concert there in December. This will be their debut performance at a large-scale location. On September 20, they are also expected to launch their third world tour, Forever Young, at the Inspire Arena.

The group debuted on September 2015 including Sundjin, Young K, Wonpil, Junhyuk, Jae, and Dowoon. In 2016, Junhyuk left the group, and in 2021, Jae also left. Four people make up the band as of now.
