Decoded: Is the speculation about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Abhishek Bachchan’s divorce true?
A deepfake video of Abhishek Bachchan has been circulating on social media for the past few days, claiming the separation of the actor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s divorce rumors began when the latter attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding by herself with her daughter Aaradhya. Reports claimed that Abhishek had finally spoken out about the divorce rumors involving Aishwarya caused quite a stir recently. It transpired, though, that Abhishek’s remarks were not from a recent interview but rather from an earlier one.
Several portals reported that Abhishek had responded to the AI-generated video during a media interaction, stating that they are “still married.”
“I don’t have anything to say to you all about that. You all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. I understand why you do it. You have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it Still Married, Sorry,” Abhishek stated.
But the footage in which Abhishek made the claim dates back to 2016, when Sarbjit premiered. In response to a query about whether “things were not good” between him and Aishwarya, the Guru actor said as quoted.
Junior Bachchan is seen mentioning about his divorce with Aishwarya Rai in the fictitious video. The actor said, “This July, Aishwarya and I have decided to get divorced.”
Netizens, however, pointed out that the video’s sync was off, so they rejected it as fake.
In July, amid Aishwarya’s split rumors, Abhishek also grabbed attention for liking an Instagram post about divorce. The words that appeared on the wall said, “When love stops being easy.”
The caption read, “Divorce is never easy for anyone. Who doesn’t dream of a happily ever after or envision recreating those heartwarming videos of elderly couples holding hands as they cross the street? Yet, sometimes life doesn’t unfold as we hoped.”
