Devoleena Bhattacharjee breaks silence on her pregnancy rumors; confirms it in a public post

The actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee has finally confirmed her pregnancy after months of rumors. She posted a few images from a customary ceremony to announce the news.
Devoleena steps into motherhood
The news was announced by the actor on her Instagram account on Thursday.
She posted multiple images from a customary “panchamrit” ceremony. Devoleena can be seen sporting a green saree in one of the pictures. She is clutching a baby onesie that reads, “You can stop asking now,” while seated on a couch. She added gold jewelry to finish off her ensemble. Her spouse can be seen sitting next to her, holding her dog in his lap.

Upon sharing the images and revealing her pregnancy, her comment section was flooded with congrats.
She responded to the persistent pregnancy rumors back in June on Instagram Stories. She asked the public to respect her privacy and avoid intruding, but she did not confirm or deny the rumours.
“Many people have been messaging me for a long time regarding my pregnancy, creating news about it. I am sure that whenever I feel like sharing such news with you all, I will do it myself. For now, please do not bother me,” Devoleena added.

In December 2022, Devoleena married her beau Shanawaz Shaikh. It was a Lonavala court wedding, attended only by close friends. But when trolls questioned her choice to marry outside of her religion, she had to deal with a lot of backlash after the wedding.
In an October 2023 interview with E-Times, Devoleena responded to trolls by saying, “If I had married a wealthy man, I’d have been labelled a gold-digger, and if I married someone like SRK (Shah Rukh Khan), they would have said usne kaisi ladki se shaadi kar lee (What kind of girl did he marry).”
