Did the delay in release of Euphoria S3 stem from the scuffle between Zendaya and Sam Levinson?
The show stars Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, Alex Demie, Jacob Elordi, and Eric Dane, among others.

Sam Levinson, the show’s creator, and Zendaya, the actress, are allegedly at odds over whether to come up with the ideal concept before working on season three of Euphoria. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the actress is upset with Levinson for working on The Idol before completing the script for the next season. The show’s creators announced last month that all of the main cast members will be back for the upcoming season when it returns to television.
Euphoria’s second season debuted in 2022, focused on a group of adults dealing with relationships, heartbreaks, and addictions.
Tussle between Zendaya and Sam Levinson
The Hollywood Reporter reported that the Euphoria creator, who is purportedly focused on The Idol before writing the show’s script, is not thinking in alignment as the Marvel actress.
According to the media reports, Zendaya also demanded answers from HBO executives Casey Bloys and Francesca Orsi regarding Levinson’s permission to work on other projects while Euphoria was already in development. Since the Challegers star became entangled in the drama occurring behind the scenes of the other show in March 2023, the actress has expressed her dissatisfaction with the showrunner’s decisions.
HBO executives requested a reconciliation meeting between the lead actors of Euphoria and Levinson several months after their purported falling out became more intense. But according to the reports, Zendaya wants additional executive producers to join the team in addition to Ashley, Levinson’s spouse.
