Dinesh Vijan announces new Zombie film, 12 years after Go Goa Gone

The untitled Zombie Comedy is an ensemble movie featuring a strong female lead and a relatively youthful male lead.

In 2013, Dinesh Vijan backed thriller comedy, Go Goa Gone starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das, and Anand Tiwari became a cult favourite. The producer then released films like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2, and is set to endorse anticipated films including, Thamma, Chamunda, and Shakti Shalini among others that was equally loved by the audience. Vijan is now back with an exciting news for fans who were expecting to explore the horror Zombie universe, yet again.

According to sources close, as quoted by Pinkvilla, “From Stree to Munjya and Bhediya, Dinoo has always come up with path-breaking content in the comedy genre, and his next in the Zombie world also promises to be a big screen experience. He has cracked a plot for a zombie comedy, and the same is presently in the development stage”.

The source added, “The Zombie Comedy is an ensemble film, with a strong female protagonist and a rather young male counterpart. The casting is underway and the makers are looking to make an official announcement once all the key characters are locked,” the source quipped that the upcoming film will share a different timeline from Go Goa Gone, hinting at a brand new franchise.

Dinesh Vijan is currently working with Homi Adajania for Cocktail 2 featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and an undisclosed female actor, purpoted to be Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. He also has in the pipeline Bhool Chuk Maaf that will be released on May 9.
