Before propelling to mainstream stardom with Lovely Runner, Kim Hye Yoon showcased her outstanding acting skills in Extraordinary You, SKY Castle, Snowdrop, and more. As the actress turns 28 today, let’s celebrate with a revisit to some of her iconic on-screen moments.

Kim Hye Yoon portrayed Im Sol, the female lead in Lovely Runner. Im Sol is a devoted follower of Ryu Sun Jae, a well-known K-pop idol, who is portrayed by Byeon Woo Seok. For weeks, she and the actor’s chemistry was the talk of the town, even sparking suspicions of a real-life romance.
The most memorable of Kim Hye Yoon’s many memorable moments in this dream rom-com drama was her well-known statement, “Sunjae-ya.” She screamed out Ryu Sun Jae’s name in a specific tone throughout the drama, which swiftly went viral.
Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation even replicated the dialouge on a talk show. Another video shows fans yelling “Sunjae-ya” as they spot Byeon Woo Seok at the airport.
Eun Dan Oh in Extraordinary You

She portrayed Eun Dan Oh, a high school student with a twist, in Extraordinary You. She comes to the realization that everyone around her, including herself, is living in a fantasy world. She actually only plays a supporting role in the teen fiction series Secret.
There are a lot of fascinating moments in the drama with Kim Hye Yoon.
Kang Ye Seo in SKY Castle

The actress portrayed Kang Ye Seo, a studio-driven and driven high school student who aspires to attend at Seoul National University and pursue a career in medicine, in this dark and satirical psychological thriller.
She does, however, also enjoy being pampered and frequently has planned tantrums. Kim Hye Yoon’s role in this drama helped her get a lot of popularity. Her portrayal of Kang Ye Seo in particular was so excellent that it occasionally even annoyed the audience, as it was intended to do.
Lee Bo Ra in Record of Youth
As a cameo role with very little on-screen time, she made sure to make an impression with her acting and tough demeanor.
She portrayed makeup artist Lee Bo Ra, who was romantically involved with renowned actor Park Do Ha (played by Kim Gun Woo). However, Lee Bo Ra chooses to end the relationship after the actor mistreats her, but not before hitting him for his transgression.
