Dexter, the most loved crime thriller series, is reportedly exiting Netflix on June 19, as per media outlets. The show made an unexpected comeback to the streaming platform last year. However, due to the license expiring, there has been no update on the fact whether the streaming giant will be holding its rights again.
The plot reflects on the tale of a serial killer who traces those who escaped the US justice system. The show initially aired on Showtime from 2006 to 2013 and thereafter arrived on Netflix two years. The earlier seasons emerged successful, the IMDb ratings for the show witnessed a dip in the later episodes.
Dexter on Netflix
Dexter arrived on Netflix in 2015 and remained on the platform until 2020, when it was unprecedently removed due to the license expiration. Thereafter, in 2024 it made a comeback in various areas including Netflix US on July 19, 2024.

Even though the show is leaving Netflix, fans will still be able to stream can stream all eight seasons on Paramount+ with Showtime, at a subscription rate of $12.99/month.
Well, one can also stream the spin-offs Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Original Sin on the platform. Moreover, the series’ sequel, Dexter: Resurrection, will be out on July 11.
As per Just Watch, individual episodes of the drama series will be streaming on Apple TV for $2.99 per episode. Meanwhile, Netflix UK and Canada will run the show until March 31, 2026, according to What’s on Netflix.
