Farhan Akhtar to bring Jee Le Zaraa back to life with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt

Farhan Akhtar confirmed his comeback to the director’s chair in 2021 with the slice-of-life comedy Jee Le Zaraa. Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt were cast in a casting coup by the multi-talented personality who also announced the movie. Due to scheduling conflicts, the film never gained much traction, and as a result, the whole cast moved on to pursue other projects.

Excel to revive the filming 

“The Excel team was working on the finishing touches to the script even though Jee Le Zaraa was shelved before moving on to pre-production. Due to scheduling conflicts, the movie was shelved but not entirely abandoned because it is a passion project for everybody involved, including the director, writers, and producers. According to a source familiar with the production, “the script is fully developed, and the team is currently looking to revive the project.”

“During her visit to India, Farhan Akhtar met Priyanka Chopra as well to restart the conversation of Jee Le Zaraa. He has been in touch with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt too. The trio is working out on the combination dates with a positive intent of bringing the film back on track,” the source, as quoted by Pinkvilla wrapped up.

Makers to unite Priyanka, Katrina, and Alia

One of the most anticipated movies right now is Jee Le Zaraa, which stars Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, three of the biggest stars of their respective eras. By the end of this year, a fuller image of the Jee Le Zaraa filming schedule will be available. Farhan has committed to directing Don 3 alongside Ranveer Singh and acting in a feature film in the meantime.
