Former Bad Boy Records rapper Jamal “Shyne” Barrow has criticized Sean “Diddy” Combs for destroying his life. Additionally, Barrow claimed that Diddy had made him the “fall guy” in the 1999 nightclub massacre in New York.
“He pretty much sent me to prison,” Barrow said on being asked about Diddy’s arrest, according to New York Post. Barrow is now a politician in his native Belize.
“This is someone who destroyed my life,” he added, mentioning the 10-year sentence he received for “defending” the artist.
“An eighteen-year-old kid just wanting to do nothing other than make my mother proud and make Belize proud and… be recognized for my talent and take over the world,” Barrow claimed he was in 1999 when he was in New York. But instead, he claimed, Diddy made him “the fall guy” when three people were hurt when Diddy shot into a Midtown dance club’s ceiling. Jennifer Lopez, Diddy’s then-girlfriend, was at the disputed spot.
“I was defending him, and he turned around and called witnesses to testify against me,” Barrow has now said. “Let us not lose sight of what the cold, hard facts are.”
“This is someone who destroyed my life, but do I take any joy or satisfaction for what he’s going through?” he stated. “Absolutely not.”
