(G)-IDLE’s Soyeon allegedly scanning through new agencies as CUBE Ent contract draws to a close?

Jeon Soyeon’s contract with CUBE Entertainment is set to expire in November, and there is growing conjecture regarding her future plans.

There was a stir among fans when it was announced that (G)IDLE’s Soyeon’s contract with CUBE Entertainment would officially end. Fans have speculated that this is because the K-pop idol is reportedly considering her options and may end her contract with the company she is currently managed by.

(G)I-DLE will operate as a four-person group in the interim. Soyeon is reportedly considering a number of businesses, including Big Planet Made Entertainment and Zico-led KOZ Entertainment.

The K-pop star’s contract expiration was made public during a recent (G)I-DLE performance, when she made references to it in the lyrics. When Soyeon performed her solo song, “Contract ends in November,” during the (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL] IN SEOUL, she attracted attention from the crowd because of its contentious lyrics. Despite some rumors circulating, the companies have not yet acknowledged having signed any agreements. Additionally, CUBE Entertainment declared that they are currently negotiating a contract extension.

Rapper and record producer Soyeon made her K-pop debut with (G)I-DLE, producing several of the group’s title tracks. She did, however, first become well-known for her roles in Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar. In 2021, she made her solo debut with the EP Windy, which featured the title track Beam Beam.
