Go Hyun Jung misses Namib’s press launch; rushed to emergency care post collapsing

Fans have been voicing their worries in the wake of her ill-health.

The upcoming drama Namib will mark Go Hyun Jung’s TV comeback, however she was unable to attend the press launch on December 16. The actress was sent to the emergency department as her health worsened, according to her agency.

On December 16, Go Hyun Jung’s agency representative reported that she was taken to the emergency department after fainting in the morning. Additionally, they noted that the actress collapsed multiple times while filming Namib, thus this is not the first time it has happened. There were only two days remaining for the shoot at the time, so she did her best to keep healthy, according to her agency. But since then, it appears that her health has only become worse.

“We hope no one misunderstands, as there isn’t another reason. It is difficult to talk about the details as it is a personal issue,” her representative stated.

The Namib production team also revealed that Go Hyun Jung has chosen not to attend the press conference since the doctors have advised her to take it easy in order to heal quickly.

Go Hyun Jung will play Kang Soo Hyun, the female lead and former CEO of an entertainment company, in Namib. She is 100% successful in turning trainees into celebrities. She has an excellent eye for spotting talent that will also achieve enormous success in the marketplace.

Being abruptly expelled from her own agency complicates her life. She meets Yoo Jin Woo (Ryoeun), a trainee who was also expelled, during this period. Their shared objectives help them bond.

Namib will be released on December 23.
