Kendrick Lamar’s popular diss song “Not Like Us,” which he wrote in response to rival rapper Drake, won Song of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Using lyrics that ridiculed the Hotline Bling hitmaker’s relationships and cultural influence, Lamar publicly roasted his opponent in the hip-hop industry by making light of his alleged pedophilia and sexual misbehavior.

Fans were surprisingly enthusiastic about the rapper’s significant victory and sang the well-known lyrics from his song when he accepted the prize.

“If you’re having a bad day, I promise you Drake is somewhere having the worst time of his life,” one user wrote on X. “The crowd screaming A Minor yo I’m weak,” another added.

After witnessing the audience sing A Minor at the largest award ceremony in music, one user remarked that the Canadian rapper may have strapped an explosive to his chest. One person joked that it might be preferable to avoid a rap duel with Lamar.

“Drake can never show his face in public. SOTY is “not like us.” Your colleague diss recorded won 5 Grammy awards,” a X user wrote post Lamar’s monumental win.

Another internet user made a joke about wanting to be as fervent a hater as Kendrick Lamar. Taylor Swift was seen dancing to the rapper’s trash tune, Not Like Us, as he took the stage to win the Record of the Year Award.

While the pop singer was dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning song, internet users pointed out that Drake’s earlier diss tracks didn’t hold up over time. Swift lost to her rivals despite being nominated in every major category at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker did, however, walk on stage to give Beyoncé the Best Country Album award.
