Highly anticipated anime ‘One Piece Season 2’ set to arrive soon on Netflix; check deets here
Netflix just released a post that included plot details and new cast members.
Interesting turns and surprises are in store for Netflix’s One Piece Season 2, according to our beloved Oda-Sensei. Fans of the manga’s live-action adaptation have been left wanting more after just one season.
Season 2 release date
The actor that plays Luffy in One Piece, Iñaki Godoy, recently disclosed that work on Season 2 had started in Cape Town, South Africa. Fans were curious when the information was posted on One Piece Netflix’s official Instagram page. It is anticipated that the next season would debut in 2025.
Any additions in the ensemble?
The maker wrote, “My biggest worry about the One Piece Live Action adaptation was whether we would be able to find someone like Luffy. I watched a lot of auditions and when I found Iñaki, I laughed. He was just like the person I drew in the manga. I intuitively thought, ‘That’s Luffy’”
The developer of the most recent teaser said that on August 21, 22, and 23, 2024, the cast members portraying Vivi, Robin, and Chopper would be revealed. Jazzara Jaslyn (Miss Valentine), David Dastmalchian (Mr. 3), Camrus Johnson (Mr. 5), Daniel Lasker (Mr. 9), Brendan Murry (Brogy), Clive Russel (Crocus), Werner Coetser (Dorry), Ty Keogh (Dalton), Callum Kerr (Smoker), Julia Rehwald (Tashigi), and Rob Colletti (Wapol) are those additional characters that have already been announced.
Furthermore, Netflix disclosed today via an Instagram post that Mark Harelik (Dr. Hiriluk) and Katey Sagal (Dr. Kureha) will also be involved in the project.
Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) are among the original crew members.
