Housefull 5 marks Akshay Kumar’s comeback in the comedy genre. The film is bracing for the grand release, helmed by Tarun Mansukhani. As of now, it has garnered good advance sales for the opening day.
Housefull 5 records impressive sales
Endorsed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 5 slated its pre-sales bookings, five days before the release. The movie minted approximately 5,700 tickets in the top three domestic chains- PVR Inox and Cinepolis.
As per the estimates, it would have plausibly crossed 10,000 bookings by tonight. The film will be out in two forms- Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B—with varied climaxes.
Housefull 5 to face Kamal Haasan-starrer Thug Life
Housefull 5 will face the big-screen film Thug Life at the box office, even from the perspective of opening week sales. Even though Kumar enjoys a better screen count, the latter can anyhow dominate the scene with its solid word-of-mouth. Haasan’s film has already reserved an 8-week OTT window to fetch a better reach at the Hindi box office.
Housefull 5 will be released on June 6, a day following Thug Life’s release.
The fifth film of the celebrated franchise stars a huge cast including, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, and Soundarya Sharma.
