The plot features Rani Bharti, an illiterate housewife who unexpectedly becomes the Chief Minister of Bihar as a successor of her husband, Bheema (played by Sohum Shah).
It has been inspired from real-life events from the 1990s, when politician Lalu Prasad Yadav named his wife Rabri Devi as Bihar’s chief minister. Due to its compelling plot and stirring performances, Maharani has acquired a devoted following.
Rani Bharti’s journey is expected to continue in Season 4, and viewers may anticipate more unforeseen turns in her personal and political sphere.
Huma Qureshi will be next seen in a series of projects including Delhi Crime Season 3, Bayaan, and Jolly LLB 3.
