Ananya Panday made her debut on OTT, web series with Call Me Bae in 2024. The actress grabbed traction for her slice-of-life performance in the comedy-drama. The series is now bracing for a new season. Lisa Mishra, shared major news on Call Me Bae 2.
In conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Lisa Mishra mentioned that shooting would commence this year. She added that the crew is brimming with excitement to return to the sets for the upcoming venture.
Lisa added that the entire team became friends all thanks to the director, Collin D’Cunha, for enabling an environment “where everyone was an equal.”
The actress mentioned, “I know that all of us are begging to be back on the sets!”
About Call Me Bae
Lisa Mishra played the role of Harleen, a reporter. The cast starred Gurfateh Pirzada, Vir Das, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in lead roles.
The series tells the story of Ananya Panday in the garb of Bella, aka Bae who is born rich yet loses all her wealth in the chaotic city of Mumbai.
In September 2024, post the release of first season, the makers publicised the arrival of the second installment. The video clip stated, “Bae is here to stay. Season two in development.”
The caption read, “Our day couldn’t get any bae-tter. Bella is coming to swoon us over again with a new season. #CallMeBaeOnPrime, S2 in development.”
Call Me Bae is backed by Dharma Entertainment production including Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra serving as the executive producers. It is crafted by Ishita Moitra and helmed by Collin D’Cunha.
