Ariana Grande discussed pursuing music, although not at the same rate as she has for the past ten years, during her November 6 appearance on Saturday Night Live with her Wicked co-star Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ Las Culturistas podcast.
She shared, “I’m gonna say something so scary – it’s gonna scare the absolute s–t out of my fans and everyone, but I love them, and they’ll deal, and we’ll be here forever.”
The singer affirmed that she will continue to carry out her “pop stuff”. Grande added, “But I don’t think doing it at the rate I’ve been doing it for the past 10 years is where I see myself for the next 10.”
The victorious alumna talked about how she loved acting and music theater and the way she was able to reconnect with the part of herself that started in musical theater and loved comedy by finding tiles to use her parts in small homes, characters, voices, bits, and songs.
The singer and actress further shared, “Whatever makes sense, or whatever roles we see fit, or where I could really do a good job or honor the material, I would really love to. I think it’s a lot better for me. I’m getting emotional.”
In addition to showcasing her acting abilities on TV, Grande has demonstrated her stage presence since she was very young. According to reports, she starred in the Annie musical and made appearances in Beauty and the Beast and the Wizard of Oz. She also make an appearance in the Broadway musical 13.
