According to media reports, Disney may be introducing a story about a princess who was praised for her long, enchanted hair after Mufasa: The Lion King.

According to Deadline, Michael Gracey of The Greatest Showman fame is reportedly being considered to direct Tangled’s live-action adaptation.

The original voice-over cast, which includes Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore, has not even been mentioned in the news, despite the fact that no cast has been revealed as of yet.

According to the source, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who previously worked on the Marvel Studios movie Thor: Love and Thunder, wrote a recent draft of the script for the live-action remake, which would follow the plot of the 2010 original entry.

The fact that Kaytin Robinson is also working on the Sony reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer is a matter of intrigue for the fans

According to the publication, Kristin Burr of Burr! Productions, who will co-produce the live-action Tangled with Lucy Kitada, is another name linked to the project.

The 2010 film was an immediate hit, bringing in nearly $200 million in the United States and $591 million globally. Nevertheless, not much had been done with the property despite this enormous box office triumph.

Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, an animated series on the Disney Channel, and a Tangled Ever After short were both given to the franchise.

Rapunzel made appearances in a number of Disney productions, including Wreck-It Ralph and, most recently, Disney Dreamlight Valley.

There have been rumors about a sequel, but nothing has been done about it as of yet.

On December 20, 2024, Mufasa: The Lion King will hit the theaters.
