Is Jennifer Aniston intending to do another sitcom post Friends’ success? Actor responds
For ten seasons, Aniston portrayed the beloved character Rachel Green in this sitcom, captivating viewers with her deft acting and insightful plot developments.
After the hugely successful comedy series Friends, Jennifer Aniston may never have thought of doing another sitcom, according to recent revelations.
This year, Friends, the cherished television sitcom that starred Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and the late actor Matthew Perry, is commemorating its 30th anniversary on September 22 on NBC. This cherished sitcom has remained popular for decades despite its age, thanks to its ageless characters, approachable humor, and the enduring bond between its six core characters.
Jennifer Aniston recently discussed whether or not she would ever do another sitcom following the success of her critically acclaimed series Friends, according to Deadline. In conversation with Smartless Podcast, she said, “If I knew it would be the same experience as I had with those guys, {referring to David Crane and Marta Kauffman iconic series cast) yes, but I doubt that will ever happen.”
The actress went on to say that “every single day,” she misses the filming schedule for Friends, which was her best role of her career, stating, “It’s the best schedule ever on the planet.”
Meanwhile, in June, Aniston was questioned about her 30-year-old sitcom, which is still among the greatest sitcoms ever produced, in an interview with Quinta Brunson for Variety’s Actors on Actors series.
The actress expressed, “It’s so strange to even think that it’s 30 years old,” recalling that she vividly remembers the day it premiered on NBC.
Aniston stated, “The fact that it’s had this long, wonderful life and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all five of us — all six of us — we never could imagine.”
The ten successive seasons of the blockbuster sitcom Friends is available on Netflix.
