Numerous rumors have surfaced regarding the Don franchise’s revival encountering an obstacle; some claim that the project spearheaded by Ranveer Singh has been delayed. The production has now rectified the situation.
The timelines remains unaltered
June 2025 was the scheduled release date for the movie. However, according to recent sources, the team’s commitment concerns are causing Don 3’s filming to be postponed.
In an attempt to dispel previous rumors, an Excel Entertainment representative has now stated that Don 3 is on track.
“The makers and Ranveer Singh are on the same page that the timelines of Don 3 remain unchanged. Any such news of postponement is not true,” read the note issued by the production team.
“With the timelines firmly in place, the mandates for Don 3 remain ambitious — delivering a cinematic spectacle that lives up to the franchise’s legacy while setting new benchmarks,” added the press note.
About the film
In a special announcement video released in August 2023, Farhan Akhtar confirmed that Ranveer Singh would play the new Don in the third installment of the popular franchise. Ranveer sat with his back to the camera in a building in the teaser. After lighting a cigarette and introducing himself as Don, he looked directly into the camera.
Kiara Advani posted on X, “Thrilled to be part of the iconic Don franchise and to be working with this incredible team! Seeking all your love and support as we set out on this exciting journey together (clapper board emoji).” Posting the clip on X, Farhan Akhtar wrote, “Welcome to the Don universe @advani_kiara #Don3.”
