Wamiqa Gabbi has been causing a stir online since she costarred with Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh in Baby John. According to Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla, the most recent rumors indicate that she and Ranveer Singh will be sharing the limelight for a Shaktimaan-inspired superhero film.
A report from Mid-Day claims that Gabbi is the leading candidate to star in the new superhero movie directed by Basil Joseph, who is famous for Minnal Murali.
The publication was told by an insider that the Baby John actress is receiving a lot of attention for her diverse roles in regional and Hindi films. Meanwhile with Nani, she is said to be signing a Telugu production.
“Currently, it’s all dialogue, but if the film materializes, the pairing of Wamiqa and Ranveer in Basil’s film would add fresh energy to the project that has been in the works for five years now,” the source added.
Although there hasn’t been a formal announcement yet, a source stated that pre-production is already under way and the movie is in its early phases. According to the source, director Joseph has been meeting with Ranveer in Mumbai and conducting readings with him despite his inadequate command of Hindi.
