In a new, stylish campaign that also signifies the magnificent return of her rapper image, BLACKPINK’s Jennie is promoting the Beats by Dre brand. With a surprising diss beat that pays special mention to the past, the CEO of Odd Atelier announced the debut of Beats’ expansion with the all-new Beat Solo Buds.

Jennie Kim’s verse states: “Taken for granted / Taken for hostage / Carried the Baggage / Carried the past us / As luck would have it / Future was written / They didn’t plan for women to woman up / But we came out of history / Like f**k it / They didn’t want it / But we came out of history / Like justice.”

Despite the fact that there are no confirmed links between BLACKPINK and the South Korean agency, the company is notorious for “mistreating” its musicians. After learning in late 2023 that the group had finally broken up with YG and gained complete control over their creative careers through their independent endeavors, fans exulted.

The video was also posted by the singer, rapper, K-pop idol, actor, and model on her recently opened TikTok account. The Instagram photo was captioned by Beats by Dre which read: “Good things come in small packages. When @jennierubyjane comes on, Beats Solo Buds are here for the all-day replay. Our tiniest earbuds are available now at apple.com and authorized resellers.”

In November 2023, Jennie established her exclusive label, Odd Atelier (OA), a month before the girls ultimately severed their relationship with the K-pop business.
