Jennifer Lopez is content with her single status and is putting her family and profession first, two months after resolving her divorce from Ben Affleck
A person close to Lopez told People magazine that the singer-actress is content to prioritize her career and kids over dating at the moment.
On August 20, the 55-year-old Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck. The ex-couple, who reconnected in 2021 after initially splitting up after an engagement in 2004, formally separated on April 26, 2024. The source stated, “She’s focused on work and is not dating. She’s happy as it is.”
The source continued, “Life goes on, and if anyone can move forward and be positive about it, it’s Jennifer. She sees everything as a lesson. She was hurt by their sudden separation and Ben’s unwillingness to work on their marriage. She really wanted it to work out.”
Lopez recently purchased a $18 million mansion in the Los Angeles region, and it is said that she is more focused on providing stability for her family. The promotion of The Accountant 2, which debuts on April 25, has also kept Affleck busy.
Ben Affleck acknowledged their different approaches to living the celebrity life and praised Lopez for being polite about her stardom in a recent interview with GQ. In contrast to himself, who prefers to maintain a low profile, he described her as skilled and competent at handling the spotlight.
He shared, “There’s no scandal, soap opera, or intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, ‘Hey, what happened?’ Well, there is no, ‘This is what happened.'”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is working on Office Romance, her next romantic comedy on Netflix.
