Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner officially gets divorced after a year-long settlement battle

Post their marriage, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas made headlines and rose to prominence as one of the most well-liked pairs in the Hollywood business.

As of now that the singer has filed for divorce, Turner and Jonas have reached a settlement agreement, one year later. Jonas and Turner’s marriage is irreversibly destroyed, according to Florida court records filed on September 6 and made available to PEOPLE on Tuesday, September 10.

Court documents show that the settlement is in the best interests of the parties and this family, even though the specifics of their agreement are kept confidential.

The judge ruled that the parties’ marriage was dissolved and that they were once again single, enabling Jonas, 35, and Turner, 28, to avoid having to wait the minimum 20 days for a decision.

Jonas filed for divorce from Turner on September 5, 2023, according to court documents that the outlet was able to retrieve at the time. As per the filing, “The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”

Turner made filings on September 21, 2023, claiming their marriage ended abruptly on August 15, 2023, due to an argument. Days after Jonas filed, the actress claimed to have found out about their split through the media.

Sophie and Joe began dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2017. They married in both Las Vegas and France in 2019. Sophie relocated from England to live with Joe in New York City.

The couple welcomed two daughters in 2020 and 2022. After four years of marriage, Joe filed divorce procedures citing irreconcilable differences.
