One of the most eagerly awaited films of 2025 is Akshay Kumar-starrer Jolly LLB 3. However, it has now been revealed that the courtroom comedy drama’s premiere date has been rescheduled.
A recent report on Bollywood Hungama claims that Jolly LLB 3 would now debut in August 2025 rather than April 2025. According to the portal’s source, Karan Johar requested that Akshay Kumar and his crew postpone the movie. It appears that the director intends to release Kesari Chapter 2, which also features Akshay, in April.

The source mentioned as reported by Pinkvilla, “Karan Johar is planning to bring another franchise film, Kesari 2, on April 18, 2025. He requested Akshay if he could reschedule the date of Jolly LLB 3, and the Khiladi was more than gracious to do the same.”
Jolly LLB 3 is one of the most anticipated movies of 2025. The release date of the Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi movie was set on April 10. However, according to a Pinkvilla report the launch date of the courtroom comedy drama has been postponed. Akshay reportedly made this decision at Karan Johar’s insistence.
According to a new Bollywood Hungama report, Jolly LLB 3 will now make its debut in August 2025 instead of April 2025. The portal’s source claimed that Akshay Kumar and his team were asked to postpone the film by Karan Johar. Akshay is also working in Kesari Chapter 2, which the director seems to plan to release in April.
According to an insider’s statement reported by Pinkvilla, “Staying true to the franchise, it’s a situational comedy set against the backdrop of the Indian Judiciary System. It’s essentially a fight between the two Jollys—Akshay Kumar & Arshad Warsi—with Saurabh Shukla as the judge.”
The source added, “The makers have zeroed in on a very relevant case, which is bigger and a lot more complicated than the earlier two Jolly LLB films. The film will essentially be shot in Mumbai and at real locations in Rajasthan.”
The ensemble also stars Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla. The dramedy is directed by Subhash Kapoor.
