At a Friday court appearance, pop artist and member of NSYNC Justin Timberlake entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge related to a DWI arrest. The musician was sentenced to community service after showing up in the Sag Harbor Village Justice Courthouse in Long Island, New York, with his lawyer Edward Burke Jr.
The hitmaker consented to perform 25–40 hours of community service and produce a public service announcement, which is anticipated to address driving while intoxicated, according to TMZ’s live reports.

Initial statement in July
The artist earlier pleaded not guilty, according to a statement proposed by his lawyer: “I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations. I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office.”
Burke even submitted a move to have the initial DWI charges against Timberlake dismissed in July. When the singer virtually appeared in court for the August hearing, he later withdrew the request.
