K-drama December 2024 calendar: Light Shop to Squid Game 2

There is a lot of enthusiasm in the K-drama landscape as 2024 draws to a close. Along with other new titles, December will see the release of several highly anticipated series, such as Squid Game 2 and Light Shop.
1. Light Shop- December 4, 2024

The series, which is based on Kang Full’s novel Shop of the Lamp, centers on a group of strangers who are all having difficulty dealing with a tragic experience from their past. They make an effort to live their lives normally, but they are inexplicably pulled to an odd light business hidden at the end of a dark alley. A watchful shopkeeper guards the store, which could reveal the mysteries of their past, present, and future.
2. Sorry Not Sorry – December 5, 2024

After being dumped overnight, Ji Song I, a single lady, relocates to a new town and works part-time jobs to help pay off her house loan. She poses as married in order to blend in with the neighborhood mothers. Choi Ha Na, her estranged best friend, is a careful working mother who enjoys routines. A contrasting aspect of the new town lifestyle is played by An Chan Yang, a pottery teacher and social media junkie with a charming exterior.
3. Who is She – December 18, 2024

O Mal Sun, who is now in her 70s, inexplicably returns to her 20s appearance after a disagreement with her daughter and leaving the house. She chooses to follow her unrealized dream of becoming a singer under the moniker O Du Ri. She meets Daniel Han, a former leader of an idol group who is now a producer, when she starts working as an idol trainee at Unis Entertainment. Choi Ha Na, her granddaughter, sacrifices her scholastic future to pursue her own singing career as a trainee at Unis.
4. Check In Hanyang – December 21, 2024

This historical drama, set in the Joseon dynasty, revolves around four interns at a posh guesthouse who are all concealing who they really are. One is a lady masquerading as a male, and the other is a prince. The fourth intern is a man in dire need of money, while the third intern is the guesthouse’s heir but has no desire to take over the family business.
5. Namib

The story of Namib centers on producer Kang Su Hyun, who is well-known for her perceptive idol training abilities. After being let go from Pandora Entertainment, she takes on the role of primary provider for her family. After their kid lost his hearing in an accident, her husband, Sim Jun Seok, a former music producer, decided to stay at home and longs to go back to work. Yoo Jin Woo, a struggling trainee with a problematic past, is chosen as Kang Su Hyun’s next project because she is determined to rehabilitate her career.
6. Squid Game 2

After winning the last round, Seong Gi Hun, better known as Player 456, makes a comeback to the Squid Game. He is committed to saving other players’ lives and persuading them to terminate the game permanently now that he is aware of the harsh reality behind it. His efforts are threatened by the allure of millions of won, though, which puts his good intentions to the test.
