Post the grand debut, the group has been harnessing attention for their clean visuals, electrifying performances and engaging content clips. Nonetheless, social media has been brimming with messages, posts and threads expressing concern over the massive range of engagement gained by the group.

Suspicion over metrics
The controversy commenced when the internet users noticed an unusual pattern of engagement on viral KATSEYE posts. Screenshots posted online featured likes, comments and shares from accounts that were newly created with default profile pictures. The accounts have minimal activity.
One post featured HYBE behind the possible increase in numbers, not through the purest means. Meanwhile, some indicated to the oddly drafted tweets and basic replies. On the other hand, some claimed that these could be a bot-generated response.

Videos of the members taking part in latest trends, viral tunes and reels has been shared by fans widely, also welcoming new viewers to get abreast with the dynamics of the group.
While some supported the group’s popularity at the global charts due to the terrific range of momentum in their compositions.
HYBE yet to respond
HYBE, the management agency channelising activities of the group is yet to issue a statement on the ongoing controversy. The company also features famous groups including BTS, SEVENTEEN, and LE SSERAFIM.
