Kim Jae Wook opened up about his heartbreaking breakup. The Her Private Life actor disclosed in his most recent interview that his ex-girlfriend left him for her ex-boyfriend. However, it didn’t end there because she returned shortly and expressed regret for her choice.
Kim Jae Wook appeared on I Live Alone, Park Na Rae hosted YouTube program, Narae-sik, on December 11. The actor made a startling incident when asked if he had ever been turned down by a lady after expressing his affections. He said that after only one week of dating, he had to deal with a terrible breakup.
“She dumped me to get back with her previous boyfriend,” he said.
The star, however, had more to share. The reconciliation didn’t last long, either, as his ex-girlfriend contacted him again a few days later and expressed her guilt for splitting up with him.
“‘You shouldn’t have left me,’ I thought. I would have treated her very nicely,” Kim Jae Wook shared. Nevertheless, it appears that the actor escaped the toxic circumstances and declined to resume the affair. He also disclosed in the interview that his ideal partner should have a similar sense of humor to his own.
His relationship with Lee El was previously rumored to have lasted two years, from 2018 to 2019. But his agency flatly dismissed the rumors both times.
Although it was never verified, there were also speculations that he was seeing Park Min Young, his co-star in Her Private Life. Many people thought that their endearing chemistry in the popular romantic comedy was the primary cause of the rumors’ growth.
On professional front, Kim Jae Wook is working on two Netflix dramas: Hong Rang, which stars Lee Jae Wook and Jo Bo Ah, and Melo Movie, which stars Choi Wook Shik and Park Bo Young.
